Trophies for 2003... And this is only the beginning!
So far, this year has been good for us.
We've worked hard and relished in the fruits of our labor. But you know how they say,
"You shouldn't care what others think about you!" Well, whoever said that was some lonely,
crazy old man who kept getting picked on by young rebellious children. Sorry old man,
we are here to make bikes, make the bike's owners happy and make the bikes (as well as ourselves) look damn good doin it!
We started off on the ever-popular and bike laden streets of Daytona. The Rat's Hole show there,
was kickin as always, and so a few of the boys decided to put their bikes in. Tommy D's Road King took 5th place,
while Bob Passera's highly converted softail, "Earth Mover", took 6th. Well, not a bad way to start off the year, eh?
Next we decided to take a few of the home-built customs up to Savannah for the Easyrider's show. Woohoo, Roadtrip!
The beautiful metal machinations
chosen for this trip were, "Killer" (Jim Rinehart's sleek, yellow softail), "Twin Eagle"
(Archie Ruiz's mean, green custom machine), and "Disturbed" (The newest, and sweetest addition to the group. This flowing air-suspended
beauty is owned by Todd Tyree).
All was silent and still as the judges announced their decisions, but of course, once they did, all
thoughts of being quiet fled the minds of the assembled masses. The cheetah covered, "Killer", tore a path to Second Place, Best of Show, in the Spectator's Class.
Archie's green, "Twin Eagle", didn't seem to bring any bad luck along with the color. The bike was awarded Second Place in the Spectator's Class.
And last, but in everyone's mind, absolutely not least, was, "Disturbed". This sleek, smooth mixture of metal, chrome, leather and paint, rolled away with first place
in the Street Custom class.
It would be the understatement of the year to say we were happy.
Not but a few weeks later, and the trailer was hitched back up to the truck and we were off, destination, Rat's Hole show in Leesburgh. Tom Gildea's Fat Boy,
shining like a chromed star, took fourth place in the Stock Class.
The, "Twin Eagle", spread its wings and shone like a legendary pheonix, rightfully taking Best of Show
So, five months into the year of 2003, and we're not doin' to shabby. Guess it just goes to show, we can kick it as good as anyone...and we're on the East Coast.
